The turn-off to Mazambala from the Trans Caprivi Highway is approximately 3 km east of the police checkpoint on the Kwando River or about 4 km west of Kongola.

The lodge is about 4 km and the campsite about 2 km from the tar road. Both are normally accessible by sedan car.

Should the road from the campsite to the lodge be impassable because of severe flooding, lodge guests are fetched by boat from the campsite where there is secure parking and where the attendant is in radio contact with lodge.

The lodge is a fifteen minute cruise down the river.
